Experimental/interesting uses of type.

love it! wicked mad use of type.specially this top one.very interesting and lovely to look at. so simple yet brilliant.doesnt have ot be complicated.

im looking into experimental type. it was going to be the title for my VCT timelines essay, but ive found during my research that simply the "Development of typography" is a much more apt title. Experimental is difficult to pin down expecially recently. its far too broad and not very relevant pinning dates down for little-heard of work, although a good few do stand out, i feel this new title is much more apt and will make for a much more successful, and informed piece.

my reasons for this are simply to learn more into typography, what i see as the bread and butter of graphic design.also i enjoy it, and i think something such as experimental would work better as a self initiated thing to look into, or even write about as opposed to dating a time line. just wouldnt work as well

im also continuing one of jo's wokshops-distorting helvetica-and extending it to the entire face
